American Express Launches Zync

Some time ago we reviewed Zync by American Express. Zyne is a charge card aimed at the younger generation. Among other things, Zync is the first charge card that let’s you decide what rewards you want added to the card. Called Packs, card holders could choose between rewards such as travel, food & dining, and even eco (green) rewards.

In its beta launch, Zync offered four Packs. This week American Express moved the Zync card out of beta and officially launched the card. With the official launch, American Express is offering 10 Packs. According to an American Express press release:

American Express (NYSE:AXP) today announced the launch of ZYNC from American Express, a new Charge Card designed for and with a new generation of Cardmembers in their 20s and 30s. Offered in beta since December 2009, the ZYNCSM Card brings together the financial control of the pay-in-full Charge Card with the added flexibility to select bundles of rewards and benefits called “Packs” that are tailored to specific lifestyle interests and spending habits in categories such as music, fashion, food, travel and more.

Here are the 10 Packs now available with the Zync card:
