I came across what looks like a great credit card deal from Chase today while at lunch.

A TV in the bar was airing a commercial for the Chase Freedom credit card, offering $200 cash back if you make just $800 in purchases during the first three months.

Seems easy enough right? And pretty unreal at that.

With this offer, you will receive 20,000 bonus points, which can be redeemed for a $200 check.

To qualify for the cash back bonus, you must make qualifying transactions totaling $800 or more during the first three months from account opening, which include purchases, balance transfers, and any convenience checks used to access your account.

Once you qualify, it’ll take 6 to 8 weeks for the bonus points to post to your account.

To be eligible for the $200 cash back, your account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment.

Here I suppose is the catch, if you want to call it that.

This is a one-time bonus offer valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts.

Previous and existing Chase cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer.

The Chase Freedom credit card also comes with 0% APR for 12 months on balance transfers and 0% APR on purchases for six months, along with standard cash back for purchases made using the card.

So if you don’t already have a Chase credit card, this is an awesome deal.
