Home Depot gift cards are available in amounts from $10 up to $500. These cards are available for purchase in store or online. Cards can be purchased using cash, checks, credit cards or debit cards. Purchasers can even use an existing gift card from Home Depot in order to purchase another gift card. Gift cards are available for purchase online using credit or debit cards. Just like in the store, online purchasers can use an existing gift card to make an online purchase of another gift card. There are no fees for purchasing these cards. Cards purchased online may take as little as two days to arrive or may take longer than a week.

The eGift card can be used to make purchases online at the Home Depot website, or the recipient can print the gift card information and present it at a local Home Depot store to make purchases.

• The card is delivered nearly instantaneously, which can be particularly helpful for last minute gift giving. 
• Since the card is electronic, it cannot be lost in the mail or dropped on the way to Home Depot.
• Purchasers can customize the eCards with images or photos they provide.
• eGift cards can be purchased far in advance with a delivery date specified, which can simplify gift giving when purchasing for several people for delivery on different dates.

On the other hand, not everyone has e-mail capabilities, nor is everyone happy about receiving electronic gifts instead of physical gifts that they can unwrap. For this reason, Home Depot continues to offer plastic gift cards.

Gift cards can also be purchased accompanied by a personalized Hallmark card. There is an additional charge to add a Hallmark card to the gift card, but personalized notecs can be included at no charge. Personalized gift cards and accompanying Hallmark cards may not be available for purchase in Home Depot stores but can be obtained online.
